iPhone 12

 

People around Malaysia can already pre order iPhone 12. But on 13th November only the phone will be available. Want to know more about this phone specification can visit their website Apple .

I am here just to give some random thoughts. Comparison price between buying iPhone itself vs iPhone + Telco Plan. I take iPhone 12, 128GB as example. And the telco plan I take the lowest plan of each respective telco. 

DEAL A: iPhone Itself

Apple Store, Lazada, Sen Heng all are selling at RM4099. 

DEAL B: iPhone + Telco Plan
Digi - RM5232
Maxis - RM6480
Celcom - RM5184
Umobile - RM5592

*I take the per month price multiple by 24 months (as most of the telco have 24 months contract)

From here can conclude that buy iPhone itself is more worth than packages. It may cost a lot to bared one off/one shot payment of a phone. But if you can save about RM1k+ would you think about it? And besides, some partner like Sen Heng they do offer installment plan for iPhone itself. Here are the comparison of telco plan information. 

I am currently using iPhone 6. At first my phone battery was is in bad, bad condition. But then during the launch of iPhone 7 or iPhone 8, there is glitch system happen that affects iPhone 6. So Apple did promotion on all products including accessories. I took this chance to change my battery kit. Cost me less than RM130. If not normally a change of battery kit will cost RM199.

After battery was changed, everything went well. Until I notice another problem. I could not put my phone into silent mode using the switch button. It will keep on vibrate. 

I went to Sunway Pyramid machine asked what happen. It said the switch button is damage/broken already. If I fix it, gonna cost a lot money, better buy a new phone as my warranty already finish. Now I silent my phone using assistive touch button. 

So it solve another problem. I keep on use it until current (more than 6 years). I bought this phone before GST started to implement in 2015, I can remember so clearly because I don't want to buy the phone after GST being implemented, going to cost more. In between of course there is minor problem like lagging, restart by itself, overheat, and more. That's normal for all phones model after long time being used. 

Since iPhone XR & iPhone 11 launched, my operating system software phone cannot cope with the current software. Most of the iPhone IOS will be 13 and above. But mine is only IOS 12.4.9. Therefore certain apps I have limited access function, currently all the apps still can use. Example in Instagram apps, you can put audio music to your own video, well my Instagram does not have this function. Same goes to WhatsApp's app, certain emoji I would not able to see it in my phone. 

Of course I did think weather to buy this new iPhone or not. Previously I was aiming on iPhone SE (2nd generations) before iPhone 12 was launch. But after iPhone 12 was launch, my choice switched. The size of iPhone 12 is the same as my current iPhone 6. The specification iPhone 12 is way better than iPhone 6 and iPhone SE. I feel iPhone 12 Pro is kind of big. Anyway, my current phone still can be use unless is spoil/not function then I will change🤔. Or anyone want to give me as present? Hahaha 😜
